SOUTH SIOUX TEEN DIES IN WEST SIDE CRASH

first_imgSioux City Police have identified the person killed in a car accident on the city’s west side early Monday.Police say 17 year old Miguel Silvas-Sanchez of South Sioux City died when he was ejected from the front seat passenger of the car he was riding in.Investigators say the car driven by 18 year old Eduardo Herrera, also of South Sioux, was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck a parked van in the 1500 block of West 2nd Street .Herrera fled the scene on foot, but was located by police.He was treated and released from a local hospital along with a second passenger from South Sioux City in the car, 16 year old Vicente Cancino.Police say the accident remains under investigation and charges are possible pending the outcome of that investigation.last_img
