Nampally: The District Road Safety Committee meeting was convened with all stakeholder departments at Traffic Complex, Nampaly, on Thursday. Anil Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), presided over the meeting which was convened in compliance to the guidelines of Supreme Court of India to discuss and take up remedial measures for the reduction of road accidents in Hyderabad. Also Read – Secunderabad: Major General N Srinivas Rao makes farewell visit to AOC Advertise With Us He along with other heads of stakeholder departments elaborately discussed about the improvement of junctions, construction of footover bridges and skyways, identification of black spots for accidents, breakdown of RTC buses on the roads causing traffic congestion during peak hours, identification of water logging places, requirements of rumble strips, erecting of signages, construction of bus bays and bus shelters etc., with a view to improve safety of commuters and reduction of road accidents. He further reiterated the importance of providing infrastructure by stake holder departments and requested them to redress each issue brought to their knowledge for making Hyderabad city safe and to save precious lives.
